Eden Hazard has declined an opportunity to join the Belgian Pro League team Royal Union Saint-Gilloise, according to Diario AS.
The Belgian national has been without a club since he and Real Madrid mutually agreed to terminate his contract a year ahead of schedule this summer.
A transfer to Royal Union Saint-Gilloise would have provided the former Chelsea standout with the chance to compete against his brothers, Thorgan and Kylian, who play for Anderlecht and RWDM, respectively, in the Belgium Pro League this season.
However, it is reported that the 32-year-old is keen on continuing to reside in Madrid.
