‘Halfwit , idiotic’ – Bridget Otoo slams LilWin over demise of 3-year-old boy

Media personality Bridget Otoo has criticized Ghanaian actor Kwadwo Nkansah, popularly known as LilWin, for his statements and actions following the tragic accident that resulted in the death of three-year-old Tawiah Ampomah.

Otoo expressed shock at LilWin’s decision to attend his movie premiere at the KNUST auditorium while the accident victims were still in urgent need of help.

She called on the Ghana Police Service to thoroughly investigate the incident and take appropriate action against the actor if found responsible for the boy’s death.

“This is a very foolish statement from a halfwit who is as idiotic as the character they display on screen. This clown even went to the premiere of his movie. @GhPolice do your job and arrest this clown who thinks he’s acting when a life of a boy has been cut short and a family is grieving a loss they would never recover from!” Otoo wrote on X.

Her comments came after LilWin’s management issued a statement denying accusations that they neglected the other accident victims to attend the movie premiere. The statement noted that their attention was divided as one of their team members was also critically injured.

Otoo rejected this explanation, stating that an apology would have been more appropriate than a defense.

Background

On May 25, 2024, LilWin’s car accident deeply impacted the Ghanaian community. The collision, which occurred in front of Grace Baptist Church in Amakom, Kumasi, involved LilWin’s Benz and another vehicle, injuring him and two others. All injured parties were taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital’s Accident and Emergency Unit.

LilWin was en route to the funeral of actress Matilda Asare’s mother at the time. Despite his injuries, he attended the premiere of his film “A Country Called Ghana” at the KNUST CCB Auditorium later that day.

Police investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident. Meanwhile, LilWin’s management has committed to supporting the bereaved family following the child’s tragic death.
