Fire has engulfed an eight-bedroom residence located near the Charleston Hotel in Tesano.
The blaze, which began at approximately 9:30 a.m., swiftly consumed the house.
The housekeeper on the premises initially heard an explosion but was unaware that it had originated from the house until a subsequent, more significant explosion occurred.
The residents of the house safely evacuated, although the fire consumed all their possessions.
Firefighters reached the fire site approximately half an hour following its ignition, but by that time, the house had already suffered substantial damage. Firefighters engaged in a lengthy battle with the blaze, eventually gaining control after several hours.
The origin of the fire remains subject to ongoing investigation.
Witnesses among the Tesano residents were deeply shocked and incredulous. Some mentioned that they had never before witnessed such a significant fire incident in the area.
