Some students who witnessed the recent assault at Adisadel College in the Central Region have been summoned for questioning by the Regional Education Directorate.
The perpetrator, a final-year student, has already been suspended, and the school has established a board to conduct an investigation.
Additionally, the Housemaster of Quaque House, where the incident occurred, has been suspended pending further inquiry.
A committee assigned by the school to investigate the matter has made several recommendations.
The culprit has been dismissed and will subsequently take his final exams at WEAC. Meanwhile, the victim will be temporarily relocated to write the WASSCE at the school’s premises.
The Regional Directorate of Education has expressed uncertainty regarding the root cause of the incident.
Central Regional Minister Justina Marigold Assan is currently present at the school to oversee the situation.
