TV3 spent over GHC60K on me while in the hospital – Abena Korkor

Ghanaian media personality Abena Korkor openly discussed awareness of her emotional outbursts.

She admitted that while her condition contributes to these outbursts, she takes full responsibility for her actions.

Speaking exclusively with Kwaku Sintim-Misa(KSM), Abena Korkor revealed details about her struggles, including destructive behavior during hospitalization where she incurred substantial expenses, covered by Media General (TV3), totaling over GHC60,000.

“I am aware when bloggers ask me stupid and unintelligent questions. I am aware of all the information I put on social media, sometimes I do it when I am happy. I remember being hospitalised, destroying everything around me, even causing physical harm to myself. I cut myself, TV3 covered all those bills costing over GHC50,000,” Abena Korkor stated.

Abena Korkor disclosed that she suffers from a bipolar condition.

According to the Mayo Clinic, bipolar disorder, formerly called manic depression, is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings that include emotional highs (mania or hypomania) and lows (depression).

Despite her challenges, Abena Korkor noted that she remains employed by Media General.
