Award-winning Ghanaian musician Wendy Addo, famously known as Wendy Shay, has once again demonstrated her commitment to supporting the underprivileged in society.
In celebration of World Children’s Day 2024, the celebrated artist extended her generosity to the students of Manhean M/A Basic School in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Through her foundation, Wendy Shay provided much-needed educational supplies, including over 100 school uniforms, 1,000 exercise books, and various stationery items such as erasers, pencils, sharpeners, rulers, and pens.
These donations aim to enhance teaching and learning for the students.
To further support the school’s needs, Wendy Shay donated essential teaching tools such as four white marker boards, two graphic boards, 30 packs of whiteboard markers, and educational charts featuring alphabets and numbers, making lessons more engaging and interactive.
In addition, the “Vivian” hitmaker improved classroom conditions by installing ten ceiling fans to create a more comfortable learning environment. She also funded the repair of cracked classroom floors by providing 26 bags of cement and a truckload of sand, ensuring safer facilities for the students.
Furthermore, six plastic chairs were donated to increase seating capacity for both students and staff.
During her address at the event, Wendy Shay shared her vision of doing even more for communities across Ghana, emphasizing that this initiative is just the beginning of her foundation’s efforts. She also appealed to the public for support in achieving this goal.
