Ghanaian musician DJ Azonto has announced plans to take legal action against DJ Black and Charterhouse for the unauthorized use of his song “Fa No Fom” during the recent Ghana Music Awards.
DJ Azonto claims that neither Charterhouse nor DJ Black sought his permission or credited him before playing his song at the awards gala.
He argues that this unauthorized use violates copyright laws and disrespects his intellectual property rights.
As a result, DJ Azonto feels compelled to seek legal redress to protect his interests and prevent such actions from occurring in the future.
In an interview, he revealed that his decision to sue Charterhouse was influenced by the fact that he was not invited to perform or participate on stage at the event.
This, he believes, deprived him of rightful publicity, recognition, and the opportunity to perform on one of Ghana’s biggest musical stages.
DJ Azonto emphasized the importance of respecting the hard work and creativity of artists and remains committed to upholding these principles.
Despite the controversy, he made a notable appearance on the red carpet, capturing attention with his striking nursing garb.
What if nurses and midwives council decides to sue you for disrespectful and inappropriate use of their professional uniform? It’s within your rights to seek for what you believe u deserve but consider putting respect on others too.
