Singer Patapaa, born Justice Amoah, has spoken out regarding rumors of an ongoing process that could result in the dissolution of his marriage to Liha Miller.
The couple, Mr. and Mrs. Amoah, tied the knot in January 2021. However, Liha, a German of Turkish descent, recently disclosed in an interview that she hasn’t seen her husband since their wedding in Agona Swedru, Central Region, Ghana.
She also mentioned that she’s in the process of divorcing Patapaa and has informed his parents.
“We are legally married because we underwent court marriage, and in Ghana, it’s a procedural affair,” she stated.
“We are officially married because we did the court marriage and in Ghana it is a process. I have asked for a divorce, so we are in the process of it. The thing is, I have not spoken to Patapaa directly. I have only spoken to his parents. Patapaa and I have not spoken in years.
“The last time I saw him was after our wedding before I left in 2021. After that we haven’t met. I think it’s been more than a year, getting to two years, we are not even talking at all. I already asked for a divorce for a long time but he did not take it seriously. The marriage did not work out,” the socialite and actress said.
During an interview on Angel TV, Hiplife star Patapaa corroborated Liha’s revelation, clarifying that his silence was due to “we signed the marriage in court, so I cannot disrespect the judges who joined us in holy matrimony. That is why I don’t talk about it.”
The One Corner hitmaker also made a revelation, stating unequivocally that he harbored no love for Liha and never proposed to her.
Furthermore, he hinted that his wife had taken advantage of him in her pursuit of fame.
“Liha tapped into my blessings to become famous, so whenever she gets the opportunity, she tries to infuriate me so that I will talk back and get her in the trends. I don’t love her, and I never proposed love to her,” the singer and rapper said.
One year into their marriage, Patapaa and Liha Miller faced public turmoil when Liha ventured into the comedy industry.
Patapaa voiced his objections, expressing concerns that his wife was revealing too much of her body in comic skits filmed in Nigeria.
