Arsenal have reportedly set their sights on Nigerian forward and Atalanta star Ademola Lookman, following his impressive performances this season. The Gunners, who have struggled to find consistent form in their attacking lineup, are eager to enhance their offensive options.
With some of their key forwards facing challenges, Arsenal are exploring ways to boost their firepower. Leandro Trossard has been linked to a potential move to Saudi Arabia, while Gabriel Martinelli has not yet regained his top form. Meanwhile, Raheem Sterling, on loan from Chelsea, has struggled to make a strong impact.
Lookman has enjoyed an exceptional start to the season, continuing his strong form from last year. Recently, he netted twice in Atalanta’s 3-0 victory over Napoli and has tallied six goals and four assists in the Italian Serie A so far.
His outstanding play has even earned him a 14th-place finish in the 2024 Ballon d’Or rankings, making him a top contender for African Player of the Year.
Caught Offside reports that Arsenal are actively considering a move for Lookman and may look to offload one of their current forwards to make room for him. The London club had also shown interest in signing Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen over the summer but ultimately decided against it due to Napoli’s high asking price.
Additionally, Ghanaian international and West Ham player Mohammed Kudus remains on their radar.
