“Yet she follows me on social media and posts when she even donates safety pins. I have a seat to win…I no get en time. #timenodey #idey4u,” this is a direct response from John Dumelo to his political opponent Lydia Seyram Alhassan.
Madam Lydia Seyram Alhassan, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency, is reported to have said in an interview that John Dumelo, a parliamentary candidate for the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), only exists on social media.
She is reported to have made such comments in an interview with Kwaku Dawuro on Anopa Nkomo on Accra-based Kingdom FM 107.7.
“Politics is not about pushing trucks in the community and putting it on social media to get 1 million views. Most of the people are not even in the constituents. Some are Afghanistan and Iraq. Politics is about what you do for the grassroots and youth in the Constituency.”
But in a sharp response, the budding politician claims he doesn’t have the time to respond to his contender’s comments.
Last year October, Mr. Dumelo joined a host of others to clean the gutters and drains in some parts of the Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency.
In a viral video, the actor cum entrepreneur was spotted helping in the exercise by transporting a truck to offload its rubbish.
