Ejisu residents in tears over death of MP John Kumah

The community of Ejisu is in deep sorrow following the sudden passing of their Member of Parliament, Dr. John Kumah.

Residents were seen shedding tears, dressed in somber red and black attire as they mourned the loss of their beloved representative.

Dr. Kumah, who also served as the Deputy Finance Minister, tragically passed away today, Thursday, March 7, 2024. Reports indicate that he collapsed in his office and was swiftly rushed to a nearby hospital for urgent medical attention.

Despite efforts to stabilize his condition, he was later transported out of the country for further treatment.

While hopes remained for his recovery, the news of his passing has left the community reeling in shock and grief. Parliament, too, was deeply affected by the unexpected loss, prompting the suspension of today’s scheduled sitting.

Known for his dedication to public service and his multifaceted roles as a lawyer, entrepreneur, and politician, Dr. Kumah leaves behind a legacy of commitment to the betterment of Ejisu and the nation at large.

He is survived by his wife, Apostle Mrs. Lilian Kumah, and their six children, who now mourn the untimely departure of their beloved husband and father.

The cause of his death remains unknown, adding to the profound sense of loss felt by all who knew him.
