Daniel Kwaku Tweneboah Asirifi appointed new Board Chairman of GCB Bank

GCB Bank PLC (GCB), has named Daniel Kwaku Tweneboah Asirifi as new Board Chairman, succeeding Jude Kofi Arthur after the completion of his tenure and obtaining the necessary regulatory approvals.

Mr. Asirifi holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Ghana Business School and was admitted to the Ghana Bar after completing his studies at the Ghana School of Law twenty years ago.

His appointment coincides with GCB Bank’s celebration of its 70th anniversary as Ghana’s leading indigenous bank, underlining its dedication to providing unparalleled financial solutions for the country’s socio-economic advancement.

Having been a member of the GCB Board since February 24, 2022, Mr. Asirifi brings a wealth of legal knowledge and a deep understanding of the complex corporate governance framework of the financial services sector to the board.

Previously, he chaired the Board’s Ethics, Governance, Compliance, and Nominations Committee and served on various other committees, including the Credit Committee, Human Resource and Remuneration Committee, and G-Money and Electronic Payments Committee.
