Rasmus Hojlund (20) and Christian Eriksen (31) of Manchester United have been excluded from the Denmark squad for the upcoming Euro 2024 qualifying matches.
Hojlund sustained a hamstring injury during Saturday’s 1-0 triumph over Luton Town, while Eriksen left the field in the first half due to a knee injury.
Manchester United, grappling with numerous injuries, were already missing eight players for the game mentioned.
Hojlund had notably scored two goals in United’s 4-3 loss to Copenhagen in the Champions League on Wednesday.
As of now, Erik ten Hag’s team is in the sixth position in the Premier League standings, facing their worst start to a season since 1962.
Denmark is scheduled to play against Slovenia on Friday and Northern Ireland on Monday.
In Euro qualifying Group H, the Danes share the top spot with Slovenia, both having 19 points, but Denmark sits second based on goal difference.
