Following his World Cup victory with Argentina, Alexis Mac Allister was lavishly welcomed back to Brighton on Monday.
In Qatar, the midfielder started six of his team’s seven games, scoring in the 2-0 win over Poland in the group stage and setting up Angel Di Maria’s goal in the triumph over France last month.
Following his victory at Lusail Stadium, Mac Allister was given the chance to raise the trophy once more at Brighton’s Lancing practice facility.
The 24-year-old was showered with La Albiceleste-themed confetti as he lifted a replica trophy while surrounded by teammates and staff members.

Mac Allister has been strongly connected with a transfer away from the Amex Stadium despite having signed a new three-year contract with the Seagulls in October, with the option to extend it by an additional year.
Juventus, a Serie A powerhouse, is said to be the favorite to sign him, but Premier League powerhouses Liverpool, Arsenal, and Chelsea have also been mentioned as possible destinations.
