Meanwhile, actor and musician Lil Win was also involved in an accident last year May that resulted in the death of a 3-year-old boy  named Nana Yaw.

The accident occurred when the actor was en route to the premiere of ‘A Country Called Ghana’ movie in Kumasi.

He was hospitalized, but the Police at the Motor Traffic and Transport Department (MTTD) of the Manhyia Divisional Police Command arrested the actor shortly after he was discharged from the hospital.

The family of the deceased intensified calls for justice following the tragic incident.

The police cited his ill-health as the reason for the delay in apprehending him.

He was picked up from the emergency unit of the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital around 6:30 am and subsequently appeared in court.

While the court proceedings were ongoing, Kwadwo Nkansah took steps to compensate the family of the 3-year-old boy.

He  replaced Nana Yaw’s father’s Hyundai Santa Fe, which was destroyed in the accident, with a brand new one.

Additionally, LilWin provided the family with GH¢50,000 and another GH¢45,000 to cover funeral and hospital expenses.

Also, since Nana Yaw was the third born after a set of twins, LilWin has pledged to support the surviving twins as part of his compensation efforts.

Earlier after the court proceedings on July 27, 2024, LilWin’s lawyer, Nana Bonsu Kyeretwie, stated that they were waiting for the Attorney General’s Office to review the case and provide guidance.

The trial was scheduled for August 26, 2024 but the judge and the deceased’s family were absent from court. LilWin, on the other hand, was present.

The proceedings have since been adjourned to September 2024.
