La Wulomo Nuumo Yemoh Obroni VIII has sharply criticized the government for its poor economic management, accusing it of corruption and the improper sale of lands.
Speaking at a demonstration against the sale of SSNIT hotels to the Agriculture Minister, the La Wulomo expressed his dismay at the situation.
“These lands belong to our ancestors. There is no justification for selling them to the State. It is extremely disappointing. As chief priests, we have rights and responsibilities. We are fighting for the future of our children,” he stated.
He further commented by asserting that instead of the Lands Commsision doing the right thing, they are rather in cahoots with the government.
“Instead of the government to protect state properties, they are rather selling it to themselves, disappointing,” La Wulomo stated.
This incident took place today during a protest led by Okudzeto Ablakwa.
