Ghanaian musician Mohammed Ismail Sherif Kwaku Frimpong known popularly as Black Sherif has achieved another milestone of success with his debut album reaching a billion streams.

Titled ‘The Villain I Never Was’ and released in October 2022, this accomplishment was made possible through the combined streams from four major digital streaming platforms.

The album’s popularity soared with contributions from Boomplay (341 million streams), Spotify (125 million streams), YouTube (102 million streams), and Audiomack (441 million streams).

Surpassing the billion streams mark, excluding figures from Apple Music and other platforms, Black Sherif has become the first Ghanaian artist to achieve this remarkable feat.
