Coach of the Black Queens, Nora Häuptle, has assembled a squad of 33 players in Accra for training ahead of an upcoming friendly against Japan.
Among those called up are Princess Marfo from Bay FC, Bridget Adu of Luton FC, and former FIFA U-17 World Cup Golden Boot winner Mukarama Abdulai.
The roster also features Wasila Diwura Soale, Nina Norshie, Mavis Owusu, Adama Alhassan, and Victoria Osei.
The Black Queens are using this match to prepare for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
Japan, known for its prowess in women’s football, sees Ghana as a valuable opponent in their preparations for the Olympic Games in Paris.
The highly anticipated friendly is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at the Kanazawa Go Go Curry Stadium in Tokyo.
All selected players are required to join the training camp in Accra by Tuesday, July 2, 2024.
