The head pastor of Global Praise Chapel in Goaso, Ahafo Region, Rev. Matthew Yaw Adjei, has voiced his strong support for Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the next President of Ghana.
In a video shared on social media, Rev. Adjei outlined his reasons for endorsing Dr. Bawumia, highlighting the potential for significant change under his leadership.
One key point raised by Rev. Adjei was Dr. Bawumia’s commitment to tackling corruption through digitalization. He praised Dr. Bawumia’s track record in implementing digital platforms for revenue collection, which has led to increased revenues for institutions such as the Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) and the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG).
According to the pastor, these digital systems help protect government funds from ending up in the hands of corrupt individuals.
Rev. Adjei also expressed his support for Dr. Bawumia’s Tax Amnesty Policy, which aims to introduce a flat rate for all businesses. The pastor believes that this policy will create a conducive environment for businesses to thrive, leading to overall economic growth and prosperity for Ghana.
The flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has announced that one of his proposed new policies to boost Ghana’s business environment is tax amnesty.
According to him, a tax amnesty will be implemented in 2025 for all individuals and businesses to eliminate tax liabilities up to a certain year, if he is elected president in the December polls.
