Dzifa Attivor has urged her supporters to work towards bringing the National Democratic Congress (NDC) back to power after failing to oust the incumbent Volta Regional Chair of the party in regional elections on Saturday, September, 1.

In a statement after the defeat, the former Transport Minister in the John Mahama administration said she was hopeful that John Kwadwo Gyapong, the victor in the closely contested regional executive polls, would be successful in implementing his agenda.

“I urge all my Supporters, well-wishers and non-supporters to rally their support behind Hon John Kwadwo Gyapong to succeed as a Party goes through to capture political power. I use this medium too to congratulate Hon John Kudjo Gyapong again for his victory. It has been an interesting competition,” she said.

POST ELECTION MESSAGE FROM HON DZIFA AKU ATTIVOR ON VOLTA REGIONAL CONFERENCE HELD ON SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2018

Our beloved Party, NDC, by virtue of our Constitution lifted the ban on political activities at the Regional level and I deemed it fit to contest the Chairship.

I trekked across the length and breadth of Volta Region with my TEAM to sell our vision embedded in the Manifesto to help revive the Party.

At the end of the tunnel, the delegates decided by telling the incumbent to continue.

It is my fervent expectation that the Party bounces back with the needed full vim in the Region, and it will materialize.

I urge all my Supporters, well-wishers and non-supporters to rally their support behind Hon John Kwadwo Gyapong to succeed as a Party goes through to capture political power. I use this medium too to congratulate Hon John Kudjo Gyapong again for his victory. It has been an interesting competition.

I owe special gratitude to all those who encouraged and voted for me especially TEAM DZIFA and other Delegates.

From September 1st that the winner was declared, we henceforth do not have TEAM DZIFA but TEAM NDC VOLTA. Let unity prevail and bind us together.

God bless you all.
