Renowned Ghanaian musician Stonebwoy has graduated from the Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
After a three-year program, Stonebwoy, who initially paused his education to focus on his music career, completed his studies and participated in the graduation ceremony at GIMPA on July 26.
Stonebwoy, whose real name is Livingstone Etse Satekla, made a return to academia in 2021.
While administering his oath as an alumnus of the school, the unexpected happened. The artiste passed a comment that has left many perplexed.
He made a statement mocking an individual known to him alone for failing to bag a degree at the university.
“Have you been an alumnus before? John,” he remarked briefly.
Many users on social media believe this comment was made in mockery of an individual asserted to be his archnemeses, Shatta Wale.
A user wrote, “Don’t you think Shatta also have a degree?”. Another said, “Shatta Wale go take do music.”
The two artistes have not seen eye to eye for a long time. Although Stonebwoy says he has nothing against Shatta Wale, Shatta has expressed his resentment towards Stonebwoy on several occasions.
