Alexander Djiku, a Ghanaian defender, hit a magnificent volley for Fenerbahce in their 4-0 win over Basaksehir on Thursday.
The 29-year-old scored early in the game as his team cruised to a dominant victory in the Turkish Super Lig at the ükrü Saracolu Stadium.
Djiku’s goal was his first in seven games since joining the club in the summer after leaving Strasbourg.
After five minutes, the Ghana centre-back volleyed in a rebound from the right side of the box from a corner to put Fenerbahce ahead.
In the 10th minute, Leo Duarte put the ball into his own net to double Fenerbahce’s lead, and Sebastian Szymanski added a third before halftime.
Szymanski scored a fourth goal for the hosts with 10 minutes remaining to make the score 4-0 for F enerbahce.
