Authorities at the Adisadel College have expelled a senior student who was caught in a viral video assaulting a junior in a dormitory.
The final year student will only be allowed to write his final exams with West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WAEC).
The school’s Board of Governors and Ghana Education Service will make the final decision regarding the dismissal.
The incident occurred on June 30, 2023, in Quaque house, as stated in the recent Twitter announcement.
In the video, the senior is seen holding the victim from behind and slams his face on a bunk bed, resulting in swelling.
The other student who recorded the incident and other witnesses face varying degrees of sanctions.
The house master and his deputy are also under scrutiny.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has ordered the student’s suspension and police involvement, considering it an assault case.

The incident happened on the 30th of June, 2023 in Quaque house
1. The culprit will be outrightly dismissed and will have to write his exams at WAEC
2. The victim will also be suspended and will write his exams with parental escort.
3. The one who recorded the video will also be suspended externally for one week and also face internal suspension for another week.
4. The other students who were at the scene but did not intervene and also failed to report the incident will also face severe internal punishment.
5. The housemaster and his deputy will also be suspended immediately pending the outcome of the findings by GES
