Prime suspect in the fatal shooting of a military officer in Kasoa, Ben Lord Ababio, has been officially charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
Claiming to be a chief, Ben Lord is accused of shooting the officer at the Millennium City Police Station.
Initially arraigned on May 3, 2024, Ben Lord has been held in remand since then. Following the conclusion of their investigation, the police submitted the case file to the Attorney General’s office for review.
After weeks of deliberation, the Attorney-General has directed the police to proceed with charges of murder and conspiracy against Ben Lord.
Additionally, Nana Amoh Kwakye, the second individual implicated in the case, faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder.
The court has adjourned the case until June 20, 2024.
