The New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, showcased his dance prowess during a recent campaign stop, moving gracefully to the beats of Ghanaian artist Guru’s popular track, “Lapaz Toyota.”
His well-timed and coordinated moves added flair to the event, drawing attention to his campaign message.
The song’s resonance with Bawumia’s campaign narrative made it a focal point of the event, prompting him to rise and groove along.
His story of humble beginnings as a driver’s mate for seven years, coupled with his aspiration to take the helm as the main driver, struck a chord with audiences nationwide.
In the Ashanti Region leg of his campaign tour, Bawumia was captured dancing, mimicking steering gestures while Guru performed, amidst enthusiastic cheers from supporters in the background.
Currently undertaking a three-day campaign excursion in the Ashanti Region, Bawumia’s schedule encompasses interactions with party members, door-to-door canvassing, and gatherings with diverse community and religious organizations.
Moreover, he plans to extend a courtesy visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, at the Manhyia Palace.
