Social media influencer and actress, Efia Odo, has expressed disappointment with some Ghanaian celebrities, citing their apparent lack of courage when it comes to making substantial contributions to matters of national importance.

In an Instagram live Efia Odo characterized celebrities as a group of individuals who derive satisfaction from loudly promoting themselves rather than engaging in meaningful actions for the greater cause.

According to her it is crucial for fellow celebrities to rally behind this movement, underscoring their capacity to instigate substantial change.

“We can’t demonstrate, we can’t voice how we feel? We are being oppressed, all the fake a$$ celebrities should kiss my ass, are you not oppressed?,”she added.

Her statement follows the actions of certain celebrities who have chosen to distance themselves from the ongoing OccupyJulorbiHouse protest.

This protest serves as a platform for Ghanaians to voice their dissatisfaction with the poor state of the economy.

The protests had initially been planned to occur between September 21 and September 23, 2023.

Nevertheless, the inaugural day of the demonstrations was marred by reports of incidents involving the Ghana Police Service.
These reports included claims of physical mistreatment of protesters and the apprehension of roughly 49 demonstrators.
