Funke Akindele and her husband JJC Skillz have been arraigned before court after their arrest for violating the Lagos State lockdown order.
Funke held a party for her husband on his birthday with people in attendance. Videos of the party hit the web and Nigerians were furious that she was violating the lockdown.
She was arrested later in the day, spent the night in custody and this morning her husband also turned himself in.
The two have now been arraigned before court and charged with breaching the Lagos Infection Diseases Regulations 2020. They both pleaded guilty.
The couple each face a 100,000 naira fine, a one-month jail sentence or both!
