Ghana secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against the Central African Republic in a crucial 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match held at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
The Black Stars, although playing at home, faced early pressure from the visiting Central African Republic team.
The away team took the lead in the 25th minute when striker Louis Mafouta found the net.

Despite this setback, the Black Stars managed to equalize just before half-time, thanks to a spectacular free-kick from Mohammed Kudus, who recently joined West Ham United.
In the second half, substitute Ernest Nuamah secured the winning goal for Ghana in the 82nd minute, clinching a 2-1 victory.
This comeback win ensures Ghana’s qualification for the 2023 AFCON tournament in Ivory Coast.
