A media personality, Nana Aba Anamoah, has shared her perspective on the upcoming NPP Super Delegate run-off elections scheduled for September 2, 2023.
She has expressed the view that dedicating media resources to cover the event would be an unnecessary expenditure.
Through her social media platform, Nana Aba opined that a runoff between Francis Addai-Nimoh and Boakye Kyeremanteng Agyarko wouldn’t attract significant media attention, warranting comprehensive coverage.
She advised the contenders to gracefully accept their setbacks and explore other avenues.
She conveyed, “No media house will spend resources to cover a run-off between Nimo and Agyarko. They should both go and sit somewhere and carry their L.”
Nana Aba’s remarks were prompted by the New Patriotic Party’s announcement of a runoff election between the two politicians on September 2.
Both candidates received an equal number of nine votes at the recent Super Delegates Conference held on August 26.
The Super Delegates Conference aimed to select five candidates from a pool of ten for the upcoming November 4 presidential primaries.
The tie-breaking runoff became necessary to determine which candidate would advance to the primaries, joining Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Afriyie Akoto, and Alan Kyeremanten in the flagbearer race.
