After Dayot Upamecano’s awful performance in his team’s 3-0 hammering against Manchester City, football fans have rushed to social media to lambast the defender for Bayern Munich.
Rodri, Bernardo Silva, and Erling Haaland scored on Tuesday night to give Pep Guardiola’s team a foot in the semifinal.
In significant part, Upamecano is also to blame for the English giants’ success since he was unable to restrain the City’s attackers’ fierce intensity.
According to the Daily Star, the Frenchman was rightfully held responsible for the English team’s second goal, which effectively ended the match midway through the second half because of his expensive mistake.
Jack Grealish dispossessed Upamecano as he attempted to dribble out from the back, before backheeling the ball into the path of a charging Haaland.
The Norwegian then raced into the huge space inside the penalty box before chipping the ball to Silva at the back post, who nodded it in.

Fans troll Tuchel after loss
Meanwhile, Bayern Munich manager, Thomas Tuchel has also been trolled heavily on social media after his side were humbled by Man City.
The Bavarians were put to the sword by a vicious Citizens side, who put three past them in the first leg of their Champions League last eight tie.
Sports Brief reported that it would take a mighty miracle for Tuchel’s charges to overturn the scoreline when both sides clash next Wednesday.
Takeaways from Bayern’s defeat
Sports Brief also reported on Man City versus Bayern Munich being the pick of the quarter-final ties and the game certainly living up to its billing. With a semi-final spot up for grabs, Pep Guardiola’s charges produced a masterclass performance to keep their search for the Champions League alive.
The Man City boss appeared to have mapped out a strategy which dealt with Tuchel, a man touted as the Spaniard’s kryptonite, in the first leg of the tie.
