Music sensation Safo Newman took the music scene by storm late last year with his single “Akokoa,” swiftly gaining traction on social media and amassing a substantial number of streams across various platforms.
While online enthusiasts, including rap icon Sarkodie, showered praises on the talented artist, others unleashed criticism and negative comments.
Unfazed by the online trolls, Newman, in his early 30s, remained focused on his music, emphasising that the essence lies in the art he creates rather than public opinions about his appearance.
In an interview with the Daily Graphic, Newman acknowledged reading unsavoury comments but emphasised his dedication to crafting timeless music, steering clear of dwelling on detractors’ opinions.
“When it comes to my appearance and the comments people make about it, I’m not particularly bothered. In fact, I see it as part of why I stand out. Those negative remarks about my appearance don’t faze me at all. What truly matters to me are the songs I create and the messages they convey, as well as the positive impact I can have on society,” Safo Newman stated.
