The family of the young child tragically killed in a vehicular accident involving the actor Kwadwo Nkansah, known as LilWin, has issued a stern message, asserting their determination to seek justice and not be underestimated due to their financial status.

In a heartfelt interview on Angel FM, a relative of the victim declared, “He thinks he is dealing with a bunch of poor people… we have taken this matter very seriously. Some utterances by his PRO (Public Relations Officer) led a presenter to caution me against being paid off, and I told him that everyone who knows our family in Kumasi knows that we are not destitute or hungry people.

“If you look at the Nyarko Towers where we live, that is just a small place we have rented in town, we travel home on weekends,” the uncle of the young boy stated.

“So if they think they are dealing with some weak people that they can bully, they should be careful,” he warned.

The Asokore Mampong District Court in Kumasi set LilWins bail at GH¢50,000 with two sureties on Monday, June 3, 2024. The actor had been apprehended by the Motor Traffic and Transport Department of the Manhyia Divisional Command following his release from medical care.

The arrest stemmed from a grave incident where LilWin’s vehicle collided with another, resulting in the death of the three-year-old.

The family has been outspoken in their quest for justice. The police have clarified that the delay in arresting LilWin was due to his health condition.

Facing charges of dangerous driving and causing harm through negligence, LilWin is under investigation.

His attorney, Margaret Adjei-Twum, advocated for his bail, highlighting his injuries, including internal bleeding, and emphasized the necessity of bail for his ongoing medical treatment, as per citinewsroom.com.

Adjei-Twum reassured the court of LilWin’s high profile in Ghana and his dedication to the legal process, negating any flight risk.

Concerns were raised by the defense about the haste of the police in bringing LilWin to court before his full recovery.

The case has been postponed until June 27, 2024.

Previously, LilWin, allegedly speeding, crashed into a vehicle carrying young Nana Yaw and his father, Jacob Kofi Ampomah.

Both were rushed to a hospital and later transferred to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where the child sadly passed away.
