The Electoral Commission (EC) has outlined the procedure for independent presidential candidates to acquire passwords for the upcoming 2024 December elections.
These passwords will grant candidates access to the nomination forms available on the EC’s website.
In a statement issued on Friday, August 2, and signed by Deputy Chairman of Operations Samuel Tettey, the EC instructed prospective candidates to bring a letter of introduction addressed to EC Chairperson Jean Mensa to the EC’s head office in order to receive their passwords.
“The Electoral Commission wishes to inform the Public that Prospective Independent Candidates or their Representatives are to bring a letter of Introduction addressed to the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission for the collection of their Passwords at the Head Office of the Electoral Commission to enable them download the Nomination Forms from the Electoral Commission’s website,” it added.
