The Ministry of Works and Housing has refuted claims that the Minister, Francis Asenso-Boakye, was involved in a dubious attempt to sell government property.
In a widely circulated video, the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong, asserted that there was a collaboration between a former Chief Justice and the Sector Minister to sell the official residence of the late Justice Samuel Marful-Sau.
However, the ministry has denied any such allegations.
In a statement released on Sunday, the Ministry’s Public Relations department rejected the allegations, emphatically asserting that “has been no such sale of the property.”

The Ministry went on to explain that the current changes occurring at the late Justice Marful-Sau’s official residence are a component of the Government Redevelopment Programme (GRP).
According to them, “The GRP was necessitated by the need to find residential accommodation in Accra for the ever-growing number of public and civil servants.”
