Wooden structures reduced to ashes in Bantama

A significant number of wooden structures in Bantama, near the Methodist Church in Kumasi, the Ashanti regional capital, have been ravaged by a fierce fire outbreak.

Reports from the Fire Service indicate that the affected structures served both domestic and commercial purposes.

Promptly responding to the emergency, three fire engines from Komfo Anokye Kumasi Metro and Manhyia Fire Stations were dispatched to the scene to help quench the fire. 

The firefighters grappled with the challenge posed by the rapid and aggressive spread of the fire, which has already consumed multiple structures.

Eyewitnesses recount scenes of panic and concern as residents, along with the firefighting teams, worked tirelessly to control the inferno.
