Afia Pokuaa, widely known as Vim Lady, has paid tribute to the late Kwabena Kwakye of Oman FM following his demise.
She fondly recalled Wofa KK, as Kwabena Kwakye was affectionately called, guiding her during her early days as a journalist.
Vim Lady also disclosed that Wofa KK would reach out to her and facilitate her inclusion in government delegation trips.
Despite not being colleagues at the same station, Kwabena Kwakye and Kwame Sefa Kayi were the only ones who actively supported her participation in trips to destinations like China and the United States.
“He will Say Afia there is a trip here. There is a delegation there come let’s go.. [He and Sefa Kayi] will show you who to see or what to do..” She said.
Wofa KK, an esteemed presenter of ‘Boiling Point’ and a director at OMAN FM, played a pivotal role as a panel member on the widely-followed morning show program, ‘National Agenda,’ broadcasted on Oman FM. He anchored the show on various occasions when the regular host, Fiifi Boafo, was unavailable.
Prior to his tenure at Oman FM, Kwabena Kwakye held significant positions as both Parliamentary and Presidential correspondent at Net2 TV and Oman FM. His notable collaborations included working with figures such as Professor Kofi Agyekum of Legon, Professor Kwesi Yankah, Mr. Kwabena Agyapong, and Hon. K.T. Hammond, the current Trade Minister.
