Daughters of Glorious Jesus shared in a recent interview on Joy Prime morning show declared their deliberate decision to abstain from filing for the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Contrary to conventional aspirations for accolades, the trio expressed their primary commitment to spreading God’s message through music, prioritizing spiritual impact over recognition.
During the conversation with host Roselyn Felli, the group articulated that while they won’t actively pursue VGMA forms, they remain open to attending the event if nominated.
Remarkably, the Daughters of Glorious Jesus disclosed their accumulation of global accolades from various award schemes without actively seeking nominations.
“We’re not interested in picking forms for the VGMA because we are more focused on winning souls than the awards. Our calling is a unique one, and we don’t want to be distracted or deviate,” explained the group.
They further conveyed their dedication to the transformative power of their music, citing a poignant testimony of a man who was declared dead by doctors but experienced healing through their song “Nea Yehu Yi.”
The lead singer, Cynthia, recounted how the man, after hearing their song on the radio, sought out their music and, through repeated listening, witnessed his own recovery.
Encouraged by such life-changing testimonies, Daughters of Glorious Jesus expressed their continued commitment to glorifying the Lord through their music.
Additionally, they reiterated their openness to mentoring aspiring gospel musicians, emphasizing their mission to impact lives through their unique ministry.
