What makes the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II unique

The King of the Asante referred to as the Asantehene is a revered and admired personality in his area of jurisdiction and beyond. Indeed, all and sundry have attested to the dignity and integrity he has injected into the chieftaincy institution in Ghana.

One interesting element of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II is that he does not countenance injustice, no matter who is involved as the oppressor, he will deal with you. Classical cases continue to be resolved at his Manhyia palace court involving feuding royal families over chieftaincy successions, and he does solve them with his wisdom, no wonder the Bibilical nickname king Solomon has been conferred on him by his subjects, a just King, he dispenses fairness and justice to the satisfaction of all parties.

Any of his sub chief who goes against the Ashanti royal customs and regulations is rebuked and if possible destooled, a kind of check and disciplinary measure, no wonder the kind sanity and order is prevailing in his kingdom.

The Asantehene Nana Osei Tutu II is a force to reckon with on national affairs, all the political groups accord him the needed respect, they seek his advice and wise counsel, the religious bodies does same, they frequent to the Manhyia to take from his wisdom and offer spiritual support.

On the international front, Nana Osei Tutu II since being established has established many friendly and bilateral relationships with his kingdom and Ghana, visited heads of states, Kings, met with government officials and spoke at many international conferences as special guest. So it is no surprise to witness massive FDI in Ashanti and other parts of Ghana, thanks to the effort of his majesty Otumfuo.

The Asantehene has succeeded in restoring the chieftaincy institution with honor, respect and integrity, as a result of the royal brand of manhyia, many chiefs are emulating Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.
