Rufftown Records’ CEO Bullet, born Ricky Nana Agyemang discussed the current artist roster during an interview.
On Accra 100.5 FM’s Ayekoo Ayekoo show, Bulletresponded to queries about Kiki Marley and other artists.
He mentioned that Kiki Marley is still with the label, undergoing a development program and slated for a debut this year.
Bullet confirmed managing two artists directly, Kiki Marley and Baba Tunde, alongside undisclosed talents in the works.
Regarding Wendy Shay, Bullet clarified ongoing discussions, dispelling rumors of her departure.
He emphasized resolving issues and mentioned Wendy’s mother’s involvement in the talks.
Despite speculation about Wendy Shay’s future, her history as Rufftown’s flagship artist after Ebony Reigns’ tragic passing in 2018 remains significant.
“Wendy and I have a little problem we’re trying to solve. At the moment, I have two artists, however.”
“It’s not that Wendy’s completely left but human institutions have frictions,” confidently stating also: “We’ll solve it. It’s almost solved, as a matter of fact. Her mother has arrived from overseas and we’re in talks.”
