In a concise 16-second video, former President John Dramani Mahama informed Prof Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang of her continued role as his running mate for the upcoming 2024 general elections.
The video, shared on social media by the former University of Cape Coast Vice Chancellor, captures the moment Mahama’s face appears on the phone screen.
Prof Opoku-Agyemang expressed gratitude for the opportunity, hinting at a later conversation.
“Yeah, hello, oh thank you, thank you so much for the opportunity. Thank you so much, we’d talk later, thank you,” the professor is heard saying.
The NDC’s National Executive Committee officially confirms her as the party’s running mate, and if successful in the 2024 polls, she would make history as the country’s first female vice president.
