Voltarians react to Mahama’s tour to the Volta Region

I still gaped in disbelief to see men, women and youth in their numbers, with placards signifying how they are yearning for peace, in their communities and need someone to help them out.

What could all these be? Does it mean that they are not known to be Ghanaians? Do they pay taxes and who takes their tax?

On Saturday, 11th July, 2020, Ghana’s former president,John Dramani Mahama took his way to the Volta part of the country to have a look at the ongoing voters Identification Card Registration.

The voters ID registration which inaugurated on the 30th of June, 2020 and foresees to end on the 6th of August, 2020. This Is to pave the way for the possible, autonomous, equitable and transparent conduction of the country’s election that is by law earmarked to come every four years after it’s conduction and on the 7th of December.

2020 not being exempt for the stipulated conduction eternity, candidates for the various political parties encompassing Parliamentary candidates and Presidential candidates are awfully voyaging different localities to have themselves known by the people before the election day dues. “The eearlier the better”

The presidential candidate for the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Former President John Dramani Mahama, was at volta province, his visit was warmly welcomed by inhabitants of the area, including; men, women and children.

However, it makes me wonder what brought about the placards on the hands of the lined natives of the area with several dissertations.

Meanwhile, the former president went to the area only to check how registration was going on there, only to be received with such inklings. If i should ask, could it be the statement made by the Asokwa MP, KT Hammond that gave rise to the “We are denied citizenship?”

Should i again enquire if the deployment of military personnel is still on their psyches that gave rise to the peace they are demanding for or what?

Voltarians react to Mahama’s visit to the volta region: we need peace in our communities, please help us we are suffering,we are being beaten, military deployed by the NPP are terrorizing us!

the people of the Volta region are yearning to have Mr Mahama emerged victorious or what exactly could it be.

Thank you!
