VIDEO: Scenes from NDC 2024 campaign launch

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) ignited its 2024 election campaign with an electrifying launch on Saturday, July 27, in Tamale, Northern Region.

The event, brimming with vibrant energy, drew thousands of enthusiastic supporters, all eager to witness the party’s roadmap to reclaiming power.

Key figures from the NDC graced the occasion, including Chairman Johnson Asiedu Nketia, General Secretary Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, MP for Tamale South Haruna Iddrisu, media personality and fashion icon Kofi Okyere Darko (KOD), National Youth Organiser George Opare Addo, and Communication Officer Sammy Gyamfi. Their presence added weight to the proceedings, underscoring the party’s united front.

Former President and NDC flagbearer John Mahama delivered a powerful address, critiquing the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) government. He passionately urged voters to grant the NDC another opportunity to amend the missteps of the NPP, promising that his team, equipped with experience and resolve, would restore the country’s economy.

Adding to the day’s highlights, Mahama’s running mate, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, captivated the crowd with her vision for empowering women.

The event’s atmosphere was further enlivened by performances from artists like Sherifa Guru, whose music kept the crowd dancing and celebrating.

The NDC also made a significant announcement: their manifesto, outlining comprehensive economic initiatives, will be launched by the end of August in the Central Region. This document is anticipated to provide a clear vision for the party’s plans to advance the nation.
