Accra came to a standstill on Sunday, June 9, 2024, as Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II visited the Ga State at the invitation of Ga Mantse Nii Tackie Teiko Tsuru II.
In honour of the Asantehene, a special durbar was held at the Ga Mantse’s Palace, attracting numerous dignitaries who paid homage to the two traditional rulers.
Among the notable attendees were members of the East Legon Executive Club, one of Ghana’s most exclusive associations, consisting of some of the country’s most successful and wealthy business tycoons. They announced their presence with a grand convoy of luxurious cars.
A viral video showcased a lineup of several high-end automobiles driven by the club members to the event. The impressive collection included various editions of the Mercedes G-Class (G-Wagon) series, several Rolls Royce cars, a Bugatti Veyron, Cadillac Escalade, and other Mercedes models.
Led by Dr. Osei Kwame Despite, owner of the Despite Media Group and Companies, the club members paid homage to both the Asantehene and the Ga Mantse during the durbar.

According to them, not even the President can move them to do this. Only the Asantehene can do this.
