Video: Broken heart made me accept Christ – Perez Musik

Gospel artist Perez Musik has revealed that a heartbreak he experienced several years ago led him to abandon his past ungodly lifestyle.

Speaking to Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz, the “Blema Tesaa” singer shared how, after indulging in various worldly behaviors, including smoking, he had a life-changing encounter that set him on a better path.

“The truth is [that] it started with a heartbreak. Andy, don’t laugh at me. At that point, it was very painful. I’ve never told the story before but I will say it without mentioning names. Somebody in the industry was hitting on my girlfriend back then.

I brought my girlfriend to visit me in the office, when I turned, he took the lady’s number. The next time they were talking. And this was somebody that was my ‘buddy buddy.’ That’s why I don’t really make friends,” he said.

He added that he went out one day with his friend and the guy gave his phone to Perez to make a call. Then Perez saw his girlfriend’s display photo pop up on his friend’s phone.

“I opened and said ‘yo’. I just gave the phone back to him and went home. I didn’t say anything to him. I just left and I went home,” he added.

Since giving his life to Christ, gospel musician Perez Musik has experienced immense peace and joy in serving the Lord.

His spiritual transformation has also led to several accomplishments in the music industry, including winning the Songwriter of the Year and Best Male Vocal Performance awards at the 24th Ghana Music Awards.

He is known for hit songs such as “Majie Oyi,” “Kaafo,” “Walatse,” and “Hewale Lala,” among others.
