Ghanaian artist Amerado, whose real name is Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, recently performed at an event for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Abuakwa South, Eastern Region, where he entertained Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and NPP supporters.
In a video posted by ZionFelix on Instagram, the Kumasi-based rapper and singer energized the crowd with performances of his popular tracks, including “Abronoma” and “Kweku Ananse,” while Dr. Bawumia and other NPP officials looked on.
Amerado’s appearance comes alongside other Ghanaian musicians like Olivetheboy and Joyce Blessing, who have also taken to political events without explicitly endorsing any party.
On social media, some viewers have interpreted these performances as commercial opportunities rather than political endorsements.
