The popular Ugandan dance group, Ghetto Kids, made an appearance at Stamford Bridge during Chelsea’s Premier League match against Newcastle on Monday, March 11, 2024.
As part of their tour of the United Kingdom, the renowned dance troupe showcased their talents, grooving to a rendition of Chelsea’s anthem.
Chelsea shared a video on their social media platforms capturing the energetic performance of the group, as they showcased both their collective and individual dance moves while the club’s anthem echoed through the stadium.
In the match itself, Chelsea clinched a 3-2 victory over Newcastle, maintaining their position at 11th on the league table.
Nicholas Jackson opened the scoring for Chelsea, deftly redirecting a low-driven pass from Cole Palmer in the first half.
Alexander Isak equalised for Newcastle with a skillful curling shot from the edge of the box, but Cole Palmer swiftly responded with an impressive goal of his own.
Chelsea seemed to seal the win when Ukrainian forward Mykhailo Mudryk scored a well-executed goal after coming off the bench, making it 3-1.
However, a goal from Jacob Murphy in the 90th minute set up a tense finish, with six minutes of injury time added. Nevertheless, Chelsea managed to hold on and secure their 11th win of the season.
