Veteran highlife musician Rex Omar, with four decades of music experience, recently disclosed that he has never seen $1 million throughout his music career.
During an interview on Accra FM, he expressed concern about the state of the economy and the disillusionment of Ghanaians with politicians.
He also expressed support for John Mahama as the last hope left for many Ghanaians, while expressing disappointment at the wealth accumulation by politicians, contrasting it with the struggles faced by the majority of the population.
“I have not seen one million dollars before, even though I have been doing music for forty years, and I don’t think if I will see that money, it will be through music, but today, people enter politics and make more than one million dollars” the Abiba hitmaker said.
Rex Omar further noted that a significant portion of the youth is increasingly viewing politics as a means to accumulate wealth rather than serving the nation.
He emphasized his active involvement in advocating for positive change in Ghana and supporting John Mahama’s return to politics as a potential solution.
