Three killed and dozens injured in early morning gunshots in Jonesboro, Arkansas

Three individuals were killed and numerous others were injured during a shooting at a gathering in Arkansas on Sunday.

Police found several people who were shot when they got to the area near downtown Jonesboro around 5 a.m, according to a Facebook post by Jonesboro police.

A man and a woman who knew the shooter were killed, according to the police. They also said that the person who shot others also died. Another woman who knew the shooter was also hurt.

Three other people who did not know the shooter were hurt. A fifth person was also hurt in the shooting and taken to the hospital, according to the police on Sunday afternoon.

The police have not disclosed why the shooting happened or given us any updates on the people who went to the hospital.

The investigation is still going on.

Jonesboro is 70 miles away from Little Rock, Arkansas in the northeast direction.
