Dancehall artist Shatta Wale criticized Gyankroma Akufo-Addo, Director of the Creative Arts Agency, over her announcement regarding a new creative arts card aimed at facilitating easier visa access for Ghanaian artists performing abroad.
In an interview on Asaase Radio, Gyankroma Akufo-Addo detailed plans for the card, which seeks to simplify visa procedures for artists traveling to Europe and other regions.
Shatta Wale voiced his frustration, describing the initiative as coming too late, particularly with the government’s tenure nearing its end.
He lamented that despite advocating for such a card for years, his calls had been overlooked until now.
In his comments, he criticized the timing of the initiative, labeling it as yet another example of “fake promises” and questioned its feasibility given the short remaining time in office.
