The morning show host of Wontumi Tv and Radio, Oheneba Nana Asiedu, has claimed that the reported attacks against the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi-Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi, will continue until he meets his untimely death.
In an interview on Wontumi TV, Oheneba narrated what he believes to be the account of how Chairman Wontumi and the late Deputy Finance Minister and Ejisu MP, Dr John Kumah were poisoned during their stay in Tamale while aiding the Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s campaign.
According to him, Chairman Wontumi was the intended victim in a food poisoning incident that he believes resulted in the tragic death of former Deputy Finance Minister John Kumah.
He indicated that for the betterment of the party, all sorts of untoward actions are executed, and some members are abandoned and made to bear the brunt of certain actions they are either aware of or not.
He therefore believes that the alleged attacks against Chairman Wontumi will continue since he remains alive after the reported poisoning attack.
“People are losing their businesses and family but others say for the sake of the party. I am saying Chairman Wontumi was the target. They will not stop too. That’s why I’m saying Chairman Wontumi’s father should advise his son. His wife and children should advise him because they will not stop and have not stopped. They will do it again,” he said.
